Sam and Annie with Nipper                                   The Lonesome Coyotes played several shows in the 70s and 80s on Nantucket Island in
Massachusetts. They made many friends there and a couple of them have been back
to the island from time to time. Stan's family visits as often as they can. His 9yo
son, Jamie, has made fast friends with a couple of dogs there named Sam and Annie.
On their last day there in June this year, their friend Carol (owner of the real Sam
and Annie) gave Jamie the stuffed versions of the dogs. Annie is the black one.
Since Jamie is the Coyote's biggest fan, Sam and Annie never miss a show. They also
make frequent appearances at Y'uns performances. Stan decided to make a photo
documentary of the dogs' travels, with hopes of turning it into a childrens book
some day. They have gone hot air ballooning and tubing on the Chattanoochie
River. They traveled to Canada this summer, where they rode a canoe on Lake
Louise, walked on a glacier, played in the snow, and had many other adventures. They have visited many local attractions and traveled to Orlando in October. You never know where they'll turn up. Just this weekend, Stan found them hanging on a clothesline at home in their new winter sweaters. Sheila
