TIPS FOR MUSICIANS PLAYING THE WDVX BLUE PLATE SPECIAL

Booking:
Send requests to bpsbooking@wdvx.com
The WDVX Blue Plate Special is Monday through Saturday at the Knoxville Visitor Center.

Scheduling:
Program Director Tony Lawson schedules Blue Plate Specials. The best way to communicate with him is through bpsbooking@wdvx.com. Once you have scheduled a show, please send your technical requirements and stage plot to audio man Daniel Kimbro at dkimbro@wdvx.com. Please let us know your technical requirements as soon as you are booked.
Let us know ahead of your show day if you have a tour bus or oversize vehicle so we can arrange for special parking.

Day of Show:
We require a day of show phone number so we can contact you, if necessary. Please send that in your bpsbooking@wdvx.com correspondence.
Arrive at 10:30 a.m. for set up and sound check. Remember, your sound check is critical to the quality of the broadcast and the show recording.
We ask that you read and sign WDVX's performance release.
Host Red Hickey will review what words you can't say or sing on the radio, the show flow, and other such things.
Be sure to check with Red to arrange for a copy of your show. Most likely it will be mailed to you so be sure to put your address on the release.

Showtime!
Sets are approximately 25 minutes long. Please be flexible on this time.
