The Fifth Annual Jimbo Whaley & Friends Special Reunion show will be held on Saturday, March 28th at the Historic Mills Auditorium in Gatlinburg. Special guests included Roger Helton, Scott Carris, Trey Hensley along with a reunion performance featuring Roscoe Morgan, Kipper Stit, Clint Damewood, Bill McBee and others. Singer, songwriter and entertainer, JIMBO WHALEY has announced details for the 5th Annual Jimbo Whaley and Friends Concert to be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Mills Auditorium in Gatlinburg, TN. The event will take place during the Music of the Mountains festival presented by the city of Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains Association.

Whaley's annual concerts have easily become one of East Tennessee's favorite March events and this year is sure to please fans. The original founding members of bluegrass band, Pine Mountain Railroad (Jimbo Whaley, Kipper Stitt and Mike Gwinn) will perform together for a rare concert performance. Joining them on stage will be current PMR band member, Bill McBee (bass) and other previous PMR members, Jimmy Simms (fiddle) who performed with the band during their first years together; Clint Damewood (fiddle); Roscoe Morgan (mandolin) and Danny Barnes (mandolin.)

The concert also includes the original members of Whaley's current band, Greenbrier including: Jimbo Whaley, Scott Carris, Roger Helton and previous band member, Roscoe Morgan (mandolin). Other entertainers include: Jim Whaley and Andrew Whaley on the song, Tree and Three Nails; Ray Ball and another favorite, Trey Hensley.

The Jimbo Whaley and Friends concert is sponsored by Michelin Tires and Five Oaks Oil Company (Sevierville , TN) and Odom's TN Pride Real Country Sausage (Nashville, TN).

Ticket price is $20 in advance or $25 at the door. A free CD, "The Way it Used to Be" is included with the tickets. The album includes live cuts from each band configuration over the years. Individual artist's booths will also be available for fans to purchase numerous other albums.
