Administrative Assistant position

WDVX Radio, a non-profit broadcast arts organization located in downtown Knoxville, seeks an Administrative Assistant to maintain the donor data base, support fund raising activities, coordinate volunteers, use traffic and logging software to produce daily on air schedule, and perform various clerical duties.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Manage office communication
  • Fund raising support including but not limited to data entry, thank you gift fulfillment, and issuing tax receipts
  • Produce daily on air schedule, enter client and promotion orders, and produce client invoices
  • Organize and maintain paper and electronic files
  • Coordinate for payment employee timesheets, payables, online orders and pledges, and prepare bank deposits
  • Recruit volunteers for fund drives, outreach, and special events
  • Fulfill call in/walk in merchandise orders
  • Oversee merchandise ordering, and sales and fund drive inventory
  • Support planning and execution of station marketing and outreach efforts
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Physically active; able to lift and carry at least 25 pounds and occasionally work evening hours

Qualifications:   Organized, self motivated, outgoing; detail oriented and team player.   Top candidate is outgoing with college background and possesses office experience with excellent computer skills to handle bookkeeping, data entry, word processing, and invoicing.  Demonstrable ability to learn broadcast traffic and logging software and donor data base manipulation.  Enjoys working with the public, good communication and diplomacy skills, works well under deadlines.  Some evening hours. This is a fulltime position that includes insurance.
