WayneStock 2 ''for the love of Phil'' in honor of Phil Pollard happens February 2-4, at the Relix Variety Theatre on Central Avenue in Downtown North Knoxville. The music start at 7:00p each nights and features the donated talents of Christabel & the Jons, Kevin Abernathy, Jay Clark, Ian Thomas, Jeff Barbra & Sara Pirkle, RB Morris, Tim Lee 3, Todd Steed & the Suns of Phere, the Lonetones and many more. The Bijou Theatre presents Railroad Earth in concert on February 2nd. And a View from the Mountaintop: featuring an evening with Barbra Kingsolver and Kathy Mattea takes place on March 11th. The 6th annual Winter Heritage Festival in the Smokies takes place February 2-5, and celebrates the human history, natural beauty and cultural traditions of Townsend, Cades Cove and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Activities include music workshops, exhibits, and performances from Wayne Erbsen, Pistol Creek Catch of the Day and Fiddlin Carson Peters and more. February 17-19th
The Fourth Annual Tune Junkie Weekend takes place February 17-19th ....its a celebration of Irish music that includes weekend sessions, workshops performances and much more. It starts with a session from the Jig & Reel on Friday, February 17. On Saturday afternoon the Grove Theater in Oak Ridge will have workshops followed by an Irish music concert and on Sunday its back to the Jig & Reel with a farewell session. A new musical pub in the Old City
The new Boyd's Jig & Reel Musical Pub in the heart of the Old City at the Corner of Central and Jackson Avenue presents on February 3rd it will be the Matt Flinner trio.
